Tunnel Water Treatment

The water arising from the drilling of a tunnel is cleaned and directed into a receiving stream

The groundwater is cleaned with the assistance of additives to cause the sediments to flocculate and to adjust the pH level (CO2, HCl). The water is first directed to a quiet basin, then to a flocculation basin, then to a settling basin. The path of the basins contains a collective shaft for the purpose of testing the water for turbidity and pH level. The water is then directed to an oil separator and then to the receiving stream. Maximum capacity: 20 L/sec.
