Contamination of groundwater and soil with motor oil and volatile hydrocarbons. Combined remediation using groundwater skimming, stripping, soil vapour extraction and activated carbon absorption.
Contaminated area: 100 x 150 m
Maximal concentration of hydrocarbons at the beginning of the remediation:
groundwater free floating product, 6.5 mg/l
soil: 20,000 mg/kg l
eachate: 63 mg/l
Clean up goals
groundwater: 0.2 mg/l
soil gas: 50 mg/m³
soil: 1000 mg/kg leachate: 0.5 mg/l
