Historical Research

Historical research is the task of collecting and summarizing all available data and sources of information about a company or a site in order to have a basis for making decisions about further investigation for contamination.

Historical research is often the first step (Phase 0 or Phase 1) of an Environmental Due Diligence Assessment (EDDA).

In addition to the project specific client documents the following sources are also referred to:
• Government information
• Interviews with long-term employees
• Data searches from databanks
• Specific specialized information
• Aerial photos
• Archives
